The service "Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Service" covers both counties of Caerphilly and Blaenau Gwent. Some services only apply to certain counties. Please contact us for more information.
We deliver a service funded by Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB), in partnership with our Citizens Advice colleagues in Newport and Torfaen, to help those who are receiving care for their mental health.
At CACBG we recognise that when people have a problem and they don’t know where to turn, this can have an affect on their mental health. Working with ABUHB our team can offer advice tailored to individual circumstances. We offer advice and a casework service in adult mental health out-patient venues and in-patient wards by appointment.
Our advisers can help people over the phone, in the community and by appointment at our Bargoed office. Our team provides one-to-one support with debt and money management, fuel poverty, housing, work, health and social care and they can help make sure that people are receiving all the financial support they are entitled to. They can carry out a benefit check help them fill in forms for support such as Personal Independence Payments and Universal Credit and challenge unfair decisions.
Our aim is to help people to solve some of the problems that are impacting their mental health and improve their overall well-being.
