Ed Evans - Chair
Ed joined our Trustee Board in 2021 and brings a wealth of skills and experiences. Ed is the Director of the Civil Engineering Contractors Association (CECA) Wales. A fluent-Welsh speaker, he has more than 30 years of experience of delivering a broad range of technical services and policy. Ed has previously served as Chairman of the Board of the Brecon Beacons National Park Authority, Chairman of Keep Wales Tidy and Chairman of Pedal Power, a local charity for disabled children and adults. Ed was born and raised in Gwynedd and now lives and works in South East Wales and has great understanding of the challenges these communities face.
Mostyn Davies

Mostyn Davies
Mostyn was a local government officer for over 41 years in the fields of Consumer Advice and Trading Standards. He has served as a trustee of various local bureaux since 1986 and Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent since its launch in 2000.
Colin Mann
Colin Mann
Colin has been a trustee since 2012. His commercial experience was in the printing industry and later as a representative of Barclays Life and Cornhill Insurance dealing with life insurance, pensions and mortgages. He is the county councillor for Llanbradach and a member of the Plaid Cymru Opposition group on Caerphilly CBC. He was previously Deputy Leader of the council having responsibility for Corporate Finance, Sustainability and Procurement. He is also a Llanbradach Community Councillor. Colin chairs the Board of Data Cymru (formerly Local Government Data Unit) as a Welsh Local Government Association representative. He is also on the Board of Groundwork Caerphilly and is Chair of the Caerphilly and District Twinning Association.
Glyn Jones
Glyn Jones
Glyn started as a volunteer trustee in 2011 and became voluntary treasurer in 2014. He has spent most of his career working in the public sector, including the NHS and the Department for Work and Pensions. His previous Finance Director roles include working for NHS bodies in the Rhondda, Bristol, Carmarthenshire and Powys. Glyn has worked as Aneurin Bevan University Health Board’s Director of Finance, Procurement & Performance and Deputy Chief Executive and more recently was the Interim Chief Executive. He is currently working with the Royal Osteoporosis Society, a national charity promoting bone health.
Jackie Dix
Jackie Dix
Jackie graduated in politics and started her career in housing management. She worked as a Homelessness Officer for Islwyn Borough Council, where she developed a strong affinity with the Caerphilly borough, then in housing policy for Cardiff Council, as a Research Associate at Cardiff University, and in policy and campaigns for Age Concern Cymru. She returned to Caerphilly as a Policy and Research Manager for Caerphilly County Borough Council. Since March 2020 Jackie has been a Commissioner with Bipolar UK. Jackie is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Housing, and also a Fellow of Clore Social Leadership. Jackie joined the Trustee Board in 2018.

Karolina is a trainee solicitor in the corporate department in one of Wales’ leading commercial law firms. She completed an LLB Law and Criminology degree at Cardiff University before achieving distinction in LLM Business International Law at Leeds Beckett University. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Wroclaw.
Phyllis Howls
Phyllis Howls
Phyllis joined the Trustee Board in 2022. She is a civil servant who has worked across multiple departments in wide ranging roles from administration to senior leadership roles in DWP Jobcentre Plus, Pensions Directorate, Disability Services and Companies House.
Steve Evans

Steve joined our Board of Trustees in December 2022. He brings with him a wealth of skills and experience in the financial sector, having worked as a civil servant in the Insolvency Service for 40 years. During this time, he was actively involved with several community and third sector organisations.
Steve Skivens
Steve Skivens
Steve has been a trustee since 2002. Professionally he spent some 33 years in the public sector, rising to a principal officer position and national and regional representative for the Chief Fire Officers Association. Currently he runs a business providing consultancy, training, risk assessments and compliance in the fire/safety sector and is a county councillor. Steve has experience of the voluntary, public, and private sectors at senior and governance levels. He currently works as a support officer for a Senedd Member.
Tudor Davies MBE
Tudor Davies MBE
Tudor was on the Management Committee of Bargoed Citizens Advice Bureau for many years before becoming one of the founder trustees of Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent in 2001. He is a long-standing County Councillor and the Chair of South Wales Fire and Rescue Authority.
