Improving Lives Through Advice
Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent (CACBG) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded funding through the Improving Lives Through Advice 2026 programme from the Access to Justice Foundation (ATJF).
The funding will enable CACBG to provide essential specialist support to residents of Blaenau Gwent facing complex welfare benefit issues, helping people to access the financial support they are entitled to and navigate the complex welfare systems.
Improving Lives Through Advice 2026 is supported by £3.7 million from undistributed damages arising from collective actions. This funding stream represents a crucial new source of support for the legal advice sector. CACBG is one of 16 specialist organisations across England, Scotland and Wales to be awarded the funding.
CACBG Operations Manager Ceri Morgan said: “Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent would like to thank the Access to Justice Foundation for its support and for recognising the importance of accessible welfare advice services in local communities.”
ATJF CEO Clare Carter said: “ Unclaimed funds from collective actions represent a significant opportunity to strengthen access to justice. This ultimately protects consumers and boosts the economy.”
