A survey conducted by National Citizens Advice has found that in the past 12 months, more than half of clients helped with a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) form received their forms later than the stated date on the form.
Everyone who makes a Personal Independence Payment (PIP) application has to fill out an initial application form, and then a longer questionnaire explaining how their disability or health condition affects them. It’s also recommended to submit medical evidence. If their PIP claim is accepted, it’s usually only granted for a set period of time. This means their claim will be reviewed and they’ll need to prove their entitlement again. The standard deadline for these forms is 4 weeks. But in reality, people have much less time.
