We are delighted to announce that Ashley Comley has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Citizens Advice Caerphilly Blaenau Gwent.

Ashley initially joined the Citizens Advice service as a volunteer adviser in 2005, before moving into paid roles as a generalist adviser and debt and financial capability casework in various Citizens Advice offices in South Wales.

He was the CEO for Citizens Advice Rhondda Cynon Taff (CARCT) for ten years and has a wealth of experience in the operational and strategic management of the service.

Ashley worked with national Citizens Advice as Head of Funded Services for Wales in 2023/24. As part of that role he oversaw the strategic development of Citizens Advice service across Wales and managed key relationships with Welsh Government, national partners and offices in the Citizens Advice network.

Ashley acknowledged the excellent foundations left by the previous CEO, Simon Ellington, and his experience in business planning, service delivery and governance will ensure that CACBG continues to grow and provide people with the right advice, at the right time.
